CCU is a multi-category beverage company operating in Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Colombia, and Bolivia, and is a market leader in each of the categories in which it participates in Latin America.

In Chile, CCU is a leader in the beer, carbonated beverage, mineral and bottled water, nectar, wine, and pisco industries, among others. Elsewhere in South America, the company is the second largest brewer in Argentina and also operates in the cider, liqueur, and wine industries there. In Uruguay and Paraguay, it is present in the markets for beers, mineral and bottled water, carbonated beverages, and nectars. In Bolivia, meanwhile, CCU participates in the beer, bottled water, carbonated beverages, and malt drinks industries. Finally, in Colombia, the company is present in the beer and malt drinks markets.

Founded in 2005, Compañía Pisquera de Chile was created following the agreement of a strategic alliance between CCU and the Cooperativa Agrícola Control Pisquero de Elqui y Limaría Ltda., the oldest cooperative in Chile created by farmers from the Elqui Valley.
